Diagnose — every miss, traced to the source

Get one wrong and the annunciator tells you exactly why. Not just the right letter — the whole picture:

  • The knowledge code. Every question maps to an ACS code (e.g. AMG-BE.K1), so a miss isn't "a hard one," it's a named blind spot you can track.
  • The FAA source. Every explanation cites the handbook it came from — the H-8083 series — so you can prove the answer, not just trust it.
  • The principle. A plain-language reason it's right, so the next reworded version of the question doesn't catch you out.

That's the whole pitch: no "trust me," just the reference. When the answer is proven against the FAA source, the test stops being able to surprise you.

Watch the loop catch one miss

Here's a real diagnosis, start to finish. A 28-volt aircraft circuit. A landing light with 7 ohms of resistance. The question: how much current flows?

The diagnosis (on a miss)

  • Knowledge code: AMG-BE.K1 — Apply Ohm's Law
  • FAA source: FAA-H-8083-30B · Basic Electricity
  • The math: I = E ÷ R = 28 ÷ 7 = 4 A
  • The principle: Current is what the voltage pushes through the resistance — solve for it, don't memorize it.

You don't leave with "the answer was 4 amps." You leave knowing why, with the exact handbook page that proves it, and a code ACE will requeue until you nail it cold. That's the difference between memorizing and mastering.

Adapt — your weak spots, on repeat until they stick

Who's behind the engine

It was built by Nick Brown — Director of Workforce Development at the Aircraft Electronics Association, Air Force veteran, and a former high-school avionics instructor with an M.A. in Career & Technical Education from Western Michigan University.
